Todd Kinsley: “What a joy”

I recently had the pleasure of discovering “The Whoosh Anthology”. To the uninitiated, a whoosh library might seem like an odd idea. To those of us knee-deep in the game audio world, a whoosh library makes perfect sense. I can’t begin to count the number of whooshes (and whoosh-like) sounds I’ve had to create for games.

What a joy it was to be working on a game, under a deadline, and have this library at my disposal! While working on my latest slot machine game, I used whooshes from the Whoosh Library’s “Fire” category, which just happened to match the theme of the current game. I also utilized a whoosh from the “Musical” category, when seeking a high-pitched whoosh.

I have reviewed the rest of the library as well, and find it to be a thorough set of useful whoosh sounds that require little (if any) editing or enhancement. If you find yourself in need of a whoosh, The Whoosh Anthology will have you covered.
